As a member of Equinox I hate spending money at other gyms, but after reading about it for months on end, I had to give in and try out Flywheel.
Flywheel is the SoulCycle of Chicago (read: star-studded fitness trend). The classes are 45 minutes long, and instructors play the most motivating music. I actually wish that I could bring my cell phone in and Shazam all of the songs while I spin.
The instructors push you to your limits by incorporating competitive sprinting rounds, hand weights and intervals. What really makes Flywheel unique is their Torqboard. Participating in the Torqboard allows you to see your personal progress compared to other classmates and amps up the competitive spirit.
Up for some friendly competition? Your first class is free and after it costs only $25 per class. Flywheel supplies you with complimentary spin shoes, fruit and as much bottled water as you want. Try your complimentary class and see if its for you… you’ll likely be back.
