Tomorrow I venture out of the country for a 10 day vacation. Packing is always a huge stressor of mine before I leave for a trip—especially one so long and far away! I have made a list of my travel essentials in order to help you out for your next trip.
My #1 travel necessity is my iPod. I have the iPod Nano Touch and it is absolutely perfect for traveling. Not only is it tiny, but it has a built-on clip which you can attach to your clothing in case you fall asleep mid-flight.
Remember when airplanes used to provide pillows for you? Since you rarely see those anymore, neck pillows are another travel “must-have.” You can find neck pillows in various colors and fabrics and purchase them at airport retailers. I cannot endure a long flight without one. Check out Amazon, Bed Bath & Beyond and even Walgreens for some great ones!
I could go on and on about what I pack for a trip, but I will stop at three favorites. My third travel staple is healthy snacks. My go-to snack are Larabars. All natural, vegan and gluten free, these bars are filling and delicious. My favorite flavors are Peanut Butter & Jelly, Peanut Butter Cookie and Cherry Pie. When you are in need of a quick fix while facing late-night plane delays, these bars will hit the spot!
I will be on Chi On A Dime hiatus for a little bit while I am away, but Molly and Megan will be here to keep you updated on all things fabulous and frugal while I’m out.
